THE PRICE OF AN EDUCATION COMPARED TO A LIFE OF ARMY EXPERIENCE

The army v.s. college things both have their ups and downs.I went to my main source once again(Google)to find out which one pays out the best. For college prices I went to google and clicked on the website
("www.earnmydegree.com/online-education/learning-center/education-value.html")
this website gave me the info I was searching for.

THE AVERAGE ANNUAL EARNINGS OF A:

.person with some college(non graduate)-$36,800
.person with associates degree -$38,200
.person with bachelors degree -$52,200
.person with masters degree -$62,300

So we got college out the way here comes the army.I did the same thing searching wise for the army earnings.I found out that army soldiers get something called a compensation which is worth $99,000.I found this info at the wesite
("www.goarmy.com/benefits/total_compensation.jsp").
This compensation is cool and all but there's one little problem, the compensation is 60 worth of non cash benefits which leaves army soldiers with about $46,262.But this compensation includes healthcare, retirement pay, childcare, etc. So which one would you rather have....?

Personally I would rather take the college road but thats just me...!!!!

How Music Affects Society Has Turned Into How Hip Hop Music Affects Society.

As i continue my research i am getting closer and closer to finding the answer to my question. People have many different views on wether hip hop music as a genre and a lifestyle is effecting the public in a positive or negative way. Some say that over the years people have gotten sick of hip hop because it has become so negative. As a result record sales for hip hop artists has dropped dramatically. (msnbc ) However there are still millions of fans that will stick to what they know. Most songs out now a days talk about one of three topics : sex, drugs and violence. How does this alone effect our society? Let alone the actions of the artists that make the music. Some of these same artists are the people that we look up to as role models. If they make certain mistakes it makes it harder for their loyal listeners to think that what their doing is all that bad. "Studies have attempted to link it to everything from teen drug use to increased sexual activity among young girls."(msnbc ) However can we really link such things to a genre of music??

Hip Hop & Rap is most often downed for degrading women and portraying violence in its lyrics. However their are many great artists that talk about other things and stick to the basics that made this genre great in the first place. This whole negative outlook on hip hop can be turned around and used for the bettering man kind.
Hip Hop has so many listeners and so many fans. Why couldn't we reach them about how certain aspects of hip hop our negative through the genre that they love : hip hop. I mean seriously should a whole genre, a whole aspect of a culture be thrown away because a few people mad mistakes in their musical careers??
Thinking about that will help find an answer to the essential question.

What Ive learned about Common Sense... blog 3

Since my last post Ive thought about the fact that common sense isn't so common through my eyes because not many people use it the same way as I. I use an in depth approach to answering certain questions I may have, and use the knowledge I have to put logic behind whatever conclusion my common sense comes up with. Ending up with an overall conclusion after an analysis of the issue, in which tells me whether my conclusion makes sense. And I can honestly say that the common sense Ive been goeing on about is more or so an advanced common sense. Not too many poeple have it becuase they dont think far enough. You have to be in the abstract (ontology.org).

How does someone use common sense? This is a reasonable question to ask. Considering we as human beings communicate on a daily basis, It should make for a swell example. Your very own introspection is what leads to your conclusion of a person after communication. And your own views dictate your introspection. But your unique common sensible reality is what dictates your views however; derives from the knowledge you've obtained throughout your unique life. Thus, everybody uses common sense in a unique way, in which a person obtains only through the knowledge they USE. Everyone uses common sense through the inferences they conclude towards, and the conclusion gets its authenticity from the individuals logic and knowledge. When considering that there's a large amount of knowledge in the world, there's a good probability that some knowledge at the least is common knowledge we all have. Which is why common sense is called common sense.

In contrast however, Ive heard an argument that common sense cant be learned as knowledge... That common sense is a natural thing that we all have [or at least should]. Also that it's something you cant teach (Billy M). After considering this view, I'd have to disagree, and Ill explain with the most common sensible example in the world [since streets were paved anyway]. Its common sense for anyone to look both ways before they cross a street. At least it is for those who can read well. But what I am saying is that I don't trust my niece crossing the street alone, without learning to look both ways first. And common sensibly, I wouldn't expect her to look both ways without learning to do so. Thus, common sense can be learned, and any argument against that would naturally have to be more in depth than the rather simple "yes you can, and this is why speech". And the reason for that is all the contradicting evidence held against the "no you cant learn common sense argument". All the evidence derives from the fact that looking both ways before crossing really is common sense that you've truly learned first. You learn something new everyday, don't forget that!

How can you expand your common sense. This one I promise you, is hard to explain. I mean sure, using common sense is as simple as using your head, but using it in stronger ways is the reason to expand it. The best way to expand your common sense is to rely on it. Use it everyday knowingly, and comprehend your unique way of using common sense. As the first paragraph explains, the common sense I'm going on about is more or so an advanced common sense. In a sense, It's philosophy. When you use your common sense in area's in which you only have a small background of knowledge on, the conclusion your common sense comes up with is indeed, a philosophy. And in order to come up with a philosophy, you must be in the abstract. Aristotle's students referred to ontology as The first philosophy. Ontology is a method of in depth clarification of the introspection (thoughts) you have. Your overall philosophy must be in the abstract, which means that your philosophy overall must be analyzed in depth. The methods of ontology are the methods of philosophy (what is ontology). Thus and therefore, common sense is directly linked to philosophy through their backgrounds. In which refers to logic, reasoning, introspection, knowledge, etc. In a sense, common sense derives from philosophy! And thats the conclusion of the day!

2ND POST-What can we do about political corruption?

I am now on my second post and I am beginning to understand my topic and the question itself. i visited you tube and found lots of videos on politics good and bad ones. While watching these videos I realized how much the media /internet impacts and influences the behavior and fate of politicians. For example while on you tube I typed in Barack Obama, and ileast 10 videos came up saying " obama girl". I was curious as of what this was , so I watched it , and it was a young women singing and gyrating while pictures and video of senator Barack obama showed played in the back ground. This young woman is a prime example of obamas audience, he has younger followers. Which could be a good thing politics wise, but the actuality is things like this can come back to hunt you. Meaning , later on in his career he could be accused of having affairs with minors, or rape and they coiuld look back on this video and beleive that it was true. Due to the fact that a young woman who obviously was off her knockers; gyrated and sanged to barack obama videos and pictures, and posting her own video on youtube. This is why the media can bring you to rock bottom or can sky rocket someones career. Which brings up the topic at hand, political corruption- what can we do about it? We can start with the media dont belive everything it says and dont take to lightly the things IT does say is true. Another thing YOUTUBE which is our media source, our cnn, our fox, or watever news source or tpe of media out their. Youtube is our way of expressing our self, but sometimes we can go to far with the way we express our selfs. Even politicans have to becareful with te way they try to expose themselves because in the end it will only hurt or better themeselves.

1st post- What can we do about political corruption?

After doin further more research, I am still having trouble with my topic (what can we do about political corruption). But I have found a couple of examples of this type of corruption. Bill clinton was supposably having an affair with monica Lewisky. At a press conference on January 28th, of 98 Clinton told america qoute on qoute " Im going to say this again I did not have sexual relations with that women, Miss Lewisky. Thesame year at a press conference former President Clinton was heard telling America qoute on qoute " I did have a relationship with Miss Lewisky that was not appropiate, " In fact it was wrong". Though Mr.Clinton had this blow up, he is known my many democrats as the best president by far, some even say that he was the closes we would ever get to having a black president. Another recent and more popular scandal by a politician , was the Spiltzer scandal. He was later caught having sexual relations with a female from a call service. The woman was 18 years of age , and was named Ashley Dupree. Spilzter, who is the govnor of New York State was forced to resign due to pressure by his fellow government peers. Though the former governor admitted to his wrong doin, his wife Mrs. Spiltzer stood my her husbands side no matter what. Even encourageing him to continue his duty as a us governor. These people I have named are just a few of the people who have came up as the corruptors. I am coming to find out how extremely hard it is to find the answer to ending corruption. Maybe their isent a ending to the noncense, but watever the reason is for such terrible behavior it should be takin much more seriously.

WHAT AFTER THE EDUCATION

In this post I will be talking mainly about my search for life after college.I went back to my main source of information (Google).I typed in life after college and searched a few sites until I ran into one that gave me the info I was looking for. This website is "www.cuvtips.com/life_after_college.html.I came to this wbsite and found the info that sparked some decisions that I'll have to make after my educational journey. Some of these decisions include:

.Am I gonna go in a career path of the major I took or will I have a change of thought?

.Will I live with the folks or will I be able to have my own place?

.Will I go back to school or take time off and then go back?

.Am I willing to relocate just incase I do get that dream job?

These are the decisions every college graduate have to make. These decisions are the pathway of if your gonna be successful or if you crash and have to spend a great amount of time building yourself back up.

Mechanisms of common sense... blog 2

What do I mean by calling them mechanisms? Well in fact, "a mechanism is a set of rules designated to bring about a certain outcome through interaction of a number of agents each of whom maximizes thier own utility" (wikipedia). Here are some logical mechanisms of common sense. KNOWLEDGE. We've all heard that knowledge is power, and in common senses' case, The knowledge is the common sense that serves you day by day. When you learn how to do something, and then practice the skill in some way, it becomes reliable knowledge that can be used to guide you. The knowledge will provide a background of the skill, and guide you towards the answers you need, considering the experiance you should have! We get knowledge through perception, learning, communication, association, reasoning, experiance, and education (wikipedia). And considering that REASONING helps achieve knowledge, it is a significant aspect of common sense.

Reasoning is a mental process... Basically, you look for the reasons that can help you believe, if it's something you hear about, or conclude if it's something asked of you. This aspect of common sense is mainly what directs your chioces. When you make a chioce without reasoning, then your reasoning was merely to not reason. What are the consequences, the pros, the cons, etc. There's a reason for everything. Amongst resoning, your believing such, or your concluded opinion, still leaves a desire for LOGIC. Which means that a logical answer is the one you accept.

logic is a serious utility when harnessing common sense. Without useing it, your chioce could put you in an unlogical domain, where you would then relize, and learn, in which helps you gain knowledge. Logic involves thought that involves thinking in a step by step mannor about how a problem can be solved (wikipedia). When you reason logically, your reasoning in an intelligent mannor. Thats also how you raise a philosophy, but thats later.

Another sourceful mechanism of common sense is OBSERVATION. In which is information you recieve through your five senses (taste, smell, see, hear, or feel). Amongst recieving the information, you "filter" it into thought process (wikipedia). Any observation could lead to any thought, but the thought should be analyzed by rational. The worlds greatest example is when you touch something hot, such as a pot on the stove. And even though you touched it after mom told you not to, we wont go there; However that observation leads you to gain knowledge, and aqiure a reliable source of common sense to utilize. Mainly refering to the fact that you shouldnt touch pots on the stove.

INTROSPECTION... A key element in the art of common sense, and maybe even kung fu as well, but probably not! All these here mechanisms, report to your brain. Knowledge is used, or gain when you practice the art of common sense. When useing the art of common sense, you harness your reasoning through logical thought process. Itrospection is a self examination, or inspection of ones thoughts (wikipedia). Such inspection can only derrive from reasoning, and logic. Thats why introspection is a mechanism of common sense as well as reasoning and logic; However, introspection is mainly used with more significance when you lack reliable knowlege. Instead, you refer to your in some cases, more reliable logic and reasoning. And thats introspection at its least, because it gets deeper when observations are utilized...

Thus and therefore, common sense is much more than common if it's used while utilizing these methods. In a sense you come up with a logical philosophy, simply by useing common sense to your advantage! I can see thats its hard to understand, But you must be in the abstract to do so. Any issue you come across can be solved through the art of common sense. Ask yourself any inquirical question, such as: How can I make myself better, and you will use logic, reason, observation, and your overall knowledge of yourself... And introspection would play a bigger role if you dont have any knowledge of yourself, But also be able to expand your knowledge of yourself. And of coarse, all these mechanisms are merly reflexes that could go unnoticed, but overall are utilized when you use your common sense. I can truely find no better way to conclude this session than with this quote...

"To act with common sense, according to the moment, is the best wisdom I know; and the best philosophy, to do one's duties, take the world as it comes, submit respectivly to one's lot, bless the goodness that has given us so much happiness with it, whatever it is, and despise affectation."
