Chicago(post 5)

The story Chicago has many visuals of symbolism, every since the beginning of the book theirs been nothing but lots of symbolism. For example, Blacky sometimes goes off into a dreaming mode, where as he imagines what he is being told. which gives the reader a even better example of whats going on in the novel. The language the author uses also helps, its written as if a real 11 year old is is talking . It can sometimes get annoying because of the lack of language skills, then it just back into a mature reading level. Sometimes the symbols can be to visual, it can give off too much information. For example Blacky gets molested and tells what happened to the nurse. The author tends to tell too clear of a detail, where as you cant believe what you've just read. overall the symbolism is a great part of the novel when it wants to be.
